• Christiansen claims co-angler crown at Lake Shasta
  REDDING, Calif. - During an EverStart Series event on Clear Lake in 2011, Blaine Christiansen of San Jose, Calif., entered the final day of the tournament in second place. Ultimately, he had to settle for a fifth-place as things didn't go entirely as planned. But today, with a Lake Shasta title on the line and holding the coveted No. 1 qualifying position, Christiansen was determined not to make the same mistake.

• Oregon State University wins Lake Shasta event
  REDDING, Calif. - The Oregon State University team of Zach MacDonald, of Willits, Calif. and William Sparks, of Corvallis, Ore. won the National Guard FLW College Fishing West Conference event on Lake Shasta Saturday with five bass weighing 9 pounds, 4 ounces. The victory earned the team $5,000. The win also helped them advance to the West Conference Regional Championship.

• Harris hangs on to win Shasta title
  REDDING, Calif. - Heading into the final day of EverStart Series competition on Lake Shasta, pro K.C. Harris boasted a rather significant 4 1/2-pound lead over his next closest rival. However, in the end, Harris had to hang on for dear life, stave off a hard-charging effort from fellow California native Zack Thompson and settle for an emotionally draining 13-ounce victory.

  REDDING, Calif. - Facing a stacked field of tournament tested pros and battling steady winds in the 30-mph range during the second day of EverStart competition on Lake Shasta, K.C. Harris was doing everything in his power to live up to the pressure of fishing on his home lake. Entering today's competition, Harris was in fifth place needing a big sack just to qualify for today's top-10 cut
